Why Equine Assisted Learning? (EAL)

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is an experiential learning approach that promotes the development of life skills applicable to educational, professional or personal goals through equine assisted activities. This experiential approach integrates horse/human interaction that is guided by a planned learning experience to meet identified goals. PATH Intl 2015 EAL

As a 501(c)(3) organization, our outreach is for able-bodied children, ages 5 and above.  No horse experience is necessary. We provide an Equine-assisted learning program to encourage healthy relationships, build character, and learn life skills in a unique way. Our program focuses on horsemanship activities where children partner with our gentle horses and trained volunteers. We incorporate other agricultural components to learn and build relationships in a safe, non-judgmental environment.  One of our goals is to uncover, develop, and validate personal strengths we see in each child. We want kids to know they are accepted and loved just as they are.
